Lassi, the very name conjures up images of authentic Punjabi drink which is wide popular in different parts of the world. Because of its refreshing appeal and unique flavor, Lassi is a special Indian Beverage. Facts indicate that Lassi is a traditional North Indian drink, developed in Punjab. Its made by a fascinating blend of yogurt with water, salt, and spices until it gets a good froth. Traditional lassi is seasoned with ground roasted cumin. However, the famous Indian Lassi of the Punjab uses a little milk and is topped with a thin layer of malai, a kind cream, also known as Devonshire cream.
