Salad Nicoise

Salad Nicoise is made up of a multitude of ingredients like potatoes, green beans, egg and tuna, it only takes 15 minutes to cook it. The ingredients that you will have to gather includes-

  • 6 small new potatoes
  • 200 g green beans
  • 100 g mixed lettuce leaves
  • 6 cooked artichoke hearts, cut in half
  • 4 tomatoes, cut into wedges
  • 4 eggs, hard boiled and halved
  • 150 g black olives, pitted
  • 200 g good quality canned tuna or fresh tuna
  • for the vinaigrette:
  • 3 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • 9 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp fresh basil
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 saucepan
  • 1 bowl of cold water
  • 1 colander



    The first step to prepare Salad Nicoise is to cook the potatoes and once the boiled potatoes are cooled then it should cut into two equal halves and once the potatoes are ready then you need to cook the beans. The next step comprises of make the vinaigrette which is prepared by mixing balsamic vinegar, garlic, mustard and salt and pepper in a bowl and then while whisking slowly, olive oil is added to it. Then you need to take large bowl and take a mixture of lettuce, potatoes, artichoke hearts, green beans, tomato wedges and olives and then the vinaigrette is drizzled on top and finally the dish is ready as you add a bit of basil and parsley and season it with salt. Now the freshly prepared salad can be arranged on a beautiful serving plate and served by placing the eggs and tuna on. You are ready to win rave reviews for your culinary skill.
