Root Beer

Which is your favorite drink? Is it a root beer? Root Beer is one of the premier Italian beverages. It is also a popular beverage in America. The different types of Root Beer available in the market are dandelion, sarsaparilla, burdock and ginger beer.

Italian Beverages are very popular, be it the alcoholic drinks or the non-alcoholic ones. Root Beer is of two types’ viz. alcoholic and soft drink. The soft drink is non-alcoholic. It is a very popular beverage among non-drinkers. The soft drink is prepared from Root Beer extracts or some other flavored syrups.

The alcoholic version of Root Beer is made from bark of cherry tree, vanilla, root of sarsaparilla, root of licorice, contrived sassafras root bark seasoning, anise, nutmeg, and molasses.

Both forms of Root Beer have thick and foamy heads, once poured. Besides being tasty, Root Beer is also known for its medical value. This has led to the use of Root Beer in certain products like soap, medicine and toothpaste.

    It can also be prepared at home. All you need is the root of the sarsaparilla vine or the sassafras tree. Today, ready-made extracts are available in the market. Mix the extracts with yeast, sugar, and water. Put the mixture in a tightly sealed bottle. Carbon dioxide is generated by the yeast as the water gets carbonated. Root beer is prepared and it is ready to be had.
